Who are we?
Aber MethSoc is a group of friendly people, exploring what it means to be Christian in a relaxed and open environment, with plenty of room for debates, music, laughter and obscene amounts of cake. Anyone is welcome - you don't have to be Methodist (in fact lots of us aren't), or even Christian, just bring along an open mind and a healthy appetite!
Aber MethSoc might not be the biggest society in the world but we have other things to be proud of. We are one of only a few remaining Uni MethSoc's in the UK and have been a society here in Aberystwyth since 1950.
Our "home" Church in town is St. Paul's Methodist Centre and this is where lots of our events happen including our Sunday evening student based service called OpenSpace. MethSoc is highly integrated into the life of St. Paul's and we are as much their society as we are a University society.
We do various events both though the week and on special occasions - see events tabs. These range from social to spiritual, musical to food related. Above all we are a group of friends supporting each other in faith and fellowship during our time at University.

Come for cake and stay for Jesus...
