Joint P+Ps

Every now and then we have a special P+P that brings P+P together with Korean Bible Study- groups that meet simultaneously. This usually includes games together to get to know each other better, before splitting to have our own discussions, and then rejoining for food and fellowship. Once a semester, we aim to have an outside speaker to lead these sessions to bring a new perspective.

1 Tuesday per month, 7.30 @ St Paul's

We have attended the National Methodist Student Gathering for the past 2 years. This is a weekend in January held at Cliff College, a Methodist College in Derbyshire. We meet up with Methodist Students from all over the connexion for a time of fun, friendship and learning together. Themes explored include inclusive church, the refugee crisis, social justice, and the work of All We Can.

In previous years, the group has been to Tresaith, a secluded hamlet in Cardigan Bay, for a retreat. Tresaith is home to a beautiful beach, waterfall and coastal paths, and is a perfect spot for a quiet retreat away from the busyness of uni life. Tresaith is a wonderful opportunity to spend some quality time together and to get to know each other better. It is something we are hoping to bring back in the 2017/18 academic year.

MethSoc Nativity

At the last OpenSpace before the students go home for Christmas, we perform our "Nativity". In true MethSoc fashion it's a bit crazy and disorganised. 2014 told the story from the perspective of the Shepherds, 2015 explained what happened when the Angel Gabriel got a little confused and moved everything to Aberystwyth. 2016's extravaganza was based on Nursery Rhymes, and what happened when the Marys with their little lambs met Mary and the Baby Jesus. The Nativities of 2014 and 2015 can be found on our YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSA1-aug3Hqt5KS84zrXPQw

Last OpenSpace of December
